so i'm watching pic related and from the look of it this guy has three moves: punch, kick, chokeslam. did people just like him because he was a hekkin chonker?

i dunno, i'm mostly going through youtube and watching full matches as i find them. there are variations of strikes and sometimes a simple slam but i havent even seen a german suplex though he was probably capable of one. i can't think of any of his moves which weren't popularized by taker

His early moveset was basic because he was a Jason Voorhees/Michael Myers type character. Slow & stalking but can hit very powerful strikes and take a lot of punishment. He started opening up more from Pirate Kane through the bald Kane eras.

Ah ok. He definitely didn’t have a wide array of grappling moves, but I wouldn’t consider his movement to be extremely limited either

I always liked Kane’s big boot because he was tall as hell and got good extension on it. His top rope flying clothesline was always sick, too, but he stopped doing that later in his career because his body was falling apart. There was a falling power bomb that they always gave him in the video games that was cool, but I never saw him actually use it in a match.

you don't need lots of moves to be a good worker
ric flair was out there just chopping and flopping and doing the figure 4 and his best matches are the best matches ever
also a ton of the japanese niggas people on the internet lose their minds about about mostly just do strikes, a suplex, a submission and some signature power move
