>>15508272Tobey Maguire makes a perfect Peter Parker. Peter was always supposed to be this awkward kid that got bullied in school, and Tobey’s autism perfectly captured that feeling so naturally. That’s what made Spiderman so great, the fact that we could all relate to him.
Andrew Garfield did a better job of capturing the “Spidey” side of Spiderman, with all those quirky jokes and sense of humor, but the rest is just forgettable dogshit and paled in comparison to Tobey’s Spiderman.
Tom Holland is terrible at both being Spiderman and Peter Parker, he’s just some shmuck kid who doesn’t even feel like a real person, just some shallow character wearing Spiderman’s skin. But all MCU portrayals feel that exact same way, just shallow characters constantly cracking unfunny zingers while dressed up as our beloved superheroes. MCU is all just flashy cinematics, awful attempts at humor, and disposable stories. Shallow entertainment for shallow people. Not unlike AEW.
