What gives you the impression? He's an analyst and journo who occasionally gets a text with a tip. That's it. Dudes have been overplaying Dave's abilities a lot the last few years.

Dave's current circumstance can be explained by one or more of these things:

1. AEW's booking is heavily influenced by Dave's input. He can't stooge off angles in advance because he leaves himself open to criticism if he does.

2. Tina is notoriously paranoid and doesn't inform AEW's roster about anything until the last possible second. Dave couldn't know of anyone's long term plans because of this.

3. All of Dave's sources are in AEW. Tina's paranoia + Source hesitancy at dishing what little dirt they may have = Clueless Dave.
