People for years were saying that Roman should have been heel and it turned out to be the best course of action for the whole company. The entire Bloodline run made a star out of Jey, got Sami back over as a big babyface, gave us final boss Rock kino and has now given us TWO top babyfaces in Roman and Cody.

I think WWE just really needed someone to fill the super-Cena role, and Roman was doing well enough with kids and women. They didn't have many options. Sheamus was god-tier for kids, but the single moms weren't going to goon to him.
