AEW unironically has lower standards; TK can just afford to pay guys really well to keep them on the shelf, and he does. In fact, the issues with Ali prove that TNA doesn't just take anyone, because they took a chance on a good worker and a ring veteran, but cut him loose when he proved to be a pain in the ass.
