Yes. Back then most women were models, not wrestlers, and you could tell, it looked like a bad movie with brainless bitches giving fake slaps, while AJ looked a lot more real. And she was also more beautiful than them all, so she really shined.

She was very influential. She's actually more influential than Trish, Lita, or whoever else WWE usually trots out, but they'll never admit it. This generation of NXT women (who are all better than the horsetty generation) idolized AJ.

I think it's pretty weird how in WWE canon Trish is this groundbreaking wrestler who broke down barriers for women, when she spent half her career barking in panties.
