People used to go see wrestling/rasslin because they liked wrestling/rasslin and to root for wrestlers/rasslers. Little clue or care as to who the promoter was. Same with video games. The younger generations seem more prone to things like borderline personality disorder which leads to weird intertribal feuds that didn't exist as much in the past.
