It was a watered-down version of prior Bryan matches that lacked the attitude or use of creative styles or thinking on his opponent, such as staying low and working on the legs of Roman and Lesnar, or the games he was playing on Okada and how the beginning of the NJPW match looked like real wrestling. He did the same 'oof, I'm dead now' spot that brings every match to a halt, Swerve just tossed away medical staff which is dumb, the crowd was very quiet until the end when they spammed false finishes, and the Hangman interference was pointless because it didn't even really protect Swerve, we all saw him beat. I don't care about botches so much, but the setup for the stomp off the top was clearly visible, and the ringbell spot clearly didn't connect with Bryan's head and they showed it twice. It wasn't bad, it was just average, especially for a Bryan match.
