it's inevitable that every company will sign guys and things don't work out. nowadays instead of jobbing and trying to "humiliate" guys who are dying to leave (like FTR for example), it's better to just take them off tv. everyone knows wrestling is fake and gay, so beating guys like a drum can have the opposite effect and make fans get behind them on their way out.
