Here's a scoop for you guys. Let's just say that i'm somewhat close to DDP's family... For the last couple of months he has expressed the desire to have a retirement match at WrestleMania and wants Orton to be the man to end his career BUT he wants Orton to be the legend killer for that final run. Thoughts on the potential match? Would hunter and Orton be interested on the idea?

I'd say yes for Paul. It will draw dimes for sure so that's a no brainer as he is a businessman now. I'm not too sure about Orton wanting to bring back a character that worked for him when he was young. Then there's the other question: Can ddp's body handle it at this stage? If he gets medically cleared and everyone is on boat with the idea then why not? I'd be marking out like it's 2004 ngl

Not everyone is worthy of a le epic final retirement match. I liked him but DDP is far from a legendary status wrestler.
His final match was whatever his last match was, whoever remembers or cares about it, I do not.

Edge, christian, the hardys and dudleys got eventual main event runs based soley off their status as midcarders through the biggest boom the industry had ever known.

Ddp was ACTUALLY a pivotal, major player through the same time period, anon.
