WWE got away with it because they have name recognition and they could parade Rhea around on TV.
I live in a major city and even I've never seen an AEW shirt in the wild. It'll do well because enough people will buy tickets to "go see the wrestling" when they are inevitably discounted, but Australia isn't a market they can keep going back to like the UK.
