I was watching some New Generation Era PPVs- I can’t comment on the week to week shows and I wasn’t watching wrestling yet as it happened- but basically, I thought Diesel was fine as champ based on the shows I’ve seen so far of his reign, which is all but the last couple of them. Goes to show that despite all that talent, when there are “rumors” that you got raped by a pack of uh, well-marinated gentlemen, you simply can’t overcome that.
