Because I need something brainless to balance out all the kino I watch and books I read. When you work 40+ hours, fit in family and friends... you've only got so many hours for yourself and try as you might to fill these hours with worthwhile stuff, sometimes you just need to read shit on your phone with some wrestling as background. There was a point where I was watching WWE, AEW and TNA but one day I realised how sad that was and made more effort to get back into watching and reading stuff that makes you think and feel
Wrestling isn't really something you can talk about in the real world too. Most people only remember it when it was actually good or they stopped before they finished school and the convo can only go so far, but even when you do meet a fellow fan it's not like it's a particularly engaging conversation.
>Did you watch RAW last night?
Yeah it was OK
>seems like they're going to do ___
Yeah might be cool
>That match was pretty sick too
Yeah it was alright
Wrestling now is just fast food slop. You consume it, it's ok, you never really think about it again. You can meet someone who knows their cinema, music, vidya, etc, but meeting someone who knows their wrestling who isn't a complete mark or turbo autist is next to impossible.
