>>15699654I appreciate your reasoned responses. For me, I just can't get into wrestling unless it's presented as legit. Even if the gimmicks are silly, if it's presented as legit, I'm fine with it. It's so odd to me that today we have normal guys, first name, last name, no gimmick, but everything they do looks totally fake. Meanwhile, Doink the Clown could wrestle a believable match because the man behind it was a shoot tough guy that worked a manic, impactful style. It hurts me to say but modern wrestling is something I really have to dig deep to find things I enjoy. The ironic, at times even cynical, approach to modern wrestling just doesn't resonate with me.
