I was a fan of Saturn when he did that feud in WCW where he was trying to break free of raven’s flock. In the blowoff match he did a Death Valley driver from the ring apron through a table on Lodi and I popped like a madman. Then years later I was jealous that he got to work with Terri’s perfect milf body in WWF

Saturn was great in ECW tagging with Kronus, and in WCW during the Raven storylines (both as a teammate and feud). He was horribly misused in WWE. Even with the stacked roster, Saturn had value as a midcard gatekeeper because he could work and he had an impactful style. He did manage to get over with a mop though. That deserves some credit.

Saturn was as tall as Jericho but easily 25 lbs of muscle heavier. Saturn was also an Army Ranger, so he was a legit tough guy and that showed through in his matches. Definitely shouldn't have been a main event guy, but he had value in the midcard as a workhorse or even gatekeeper. Pro wrestling needs all sorts of talents up and down the card. Not everyone can or should be a top star. But to compare Saturn to Dunne or Buddy is an insult. Late 90s Saturn could shoot HEEM 95% of wrestlers in WWE or AEW today.

He was a good for the time movez guy in ECW.
He was really good in WCW especially working with Raven.
But in the WWE he was on the smaller side and their fans were scared of legit badasses and only wanted the cartoon pretend kind like Austin.

The Eliminators are probably the most underrated tag team in history. Numerous teams tried to duplicate their finisher putting their own spin on it and none of them were ever as good. If these two were young 20 somethings coming up in wrestling today everyone would be calling them the best tag team.

That's actually a true story. He completely left the business after it happened and went "missing" for years. Wrestlers hired private detectives to find him. I guess he just got married and settled down. He ended up doing the Wrestling cons for many years but ended up getting addicted again.

He was rad in WCW. He had a move where he’d put his boot into the side of someone, while they were on the mat, and then grab their arm and fling them over him. Never seen anyone else do that desu. Was a cool move.

Outside of The Flock and breaking free from it, he never had a gimmick that fit him that resonated with people.

Bell went into business for himself because he was a local indie guy who wanted to finesse into a developmental contract.
Saturn got too stiff with him though and the match wasn't long enough to cut for length, so it was really all about making Sunday Night Heat look bad.

Bad booking. He was over when he was the muscle in the group. But then they tried to get him over alone and he didn't have the mic skills. Instead of making him someone's muscle again, they decided to use him in meme hardcore matches, then writing was on the wall for the comedy gimmick. Should have stuck him back with a coward heel to do the dirty work. Then the eventual turn on the coward heel would have solidified his status
