Vince interpreted Scotty's ideas as him trying to go into business for himself
Also there was a rumor Austin tried to get him fired because Debra saw him coming out of the shower naked and he didn't say anything, the incident is true btw but there's no correlation
He always knew a few other promoters so he could call them and have a job ready just in case, like with RoH

So many ECW guys could've been way bigger deals in WWF/E than Vince allowed. Raven, Sandman (where was he during the invasion?), Taz, Tommy, Justin, Rhino, the list goes on.

I'm an ECW guy so there'll always be that small fuck him part of me but the guy was a motherfucking beast. Like incomparable for his time. Imagine him getting a run in the WWF like that? Would've been crazy

Absolutely. Shane's another one. I get there was already bad feelings there from his previous run so I wouldn't have ever expected anything better there for him but had they given him the chance he could've been great to have there
