I took a break from watching wrestling between the London ALL INs, I think I stopped because I was playing all the FromSoft games and also felt there was too much TV to keep up with.. Anyway, bought a cheap ticket to 2024 ALL IN, had a great time, now I am keeping up with the weekly television and this shit is fucking great, I'm just seeing banger after banger and finally, characters and angles are nicely introduced or recapped in quick video packages, which was the main criticism when I before I took my break. WWE does a lot right, their roster is better trained, work a safer style etc, but the whole presentation is fucking annoying. Annoying commentary, Its over lit and has the vibe of a Saturday morning kids cartoon. Its too clean and lifeless. AEW on the other hand hand has nuanced pleasures like entranceless jobbers, especially in the DARK days, and a womens roster who work a little rough and actually don't seem to like each other, often with their arses delightfully hanging out,. Not to mention interesting mexican and japanese people working those styles. Best of all, that cunt CM Punk has fucked off back to WWE so the show is no longer in a state of imminent implosion. I have also observed all the men seem to have mustaches now, Dax must be pissed. Thank you for reading my blog. Its just left me wondering if I missed anything I shouldn't have in the last year

the ppvs are good but the weekly show is complete amateur hour unwatchable slop with all the technical issues. i can't imagine watching live unless you want to kill yourself

It's a hilariously stacked roster with loads of money behind them, booked by a guy who doesn't have the talent to book them in interesting ways. And they've forgotten how to advertise. I wonder why he doesn't just hire a team of people who know what the fuck they're doing, but it seems more true each month that it really is his real-life wresting figurine toybox.

>>15733619 With going back and just watching the PPVs I worry that skipping the week to week build, I might be missing the most pleasurable part. Isn't a PPV just the same matches with more sequential finishers, kick outs and an increased likelihood of a belt changing hands?

The selection at the ALL IN shows were a little bare. They also didnt sell their AEW trading cards here which would have been fun to collect. I think one of the bucks wives was handling the merch stuff, it should be in the hands of some corporate type with industry experience of getting products to eager markets,
However, the figures are fucking everywhere here, but I dont want those and I dont think anyone else does either.

Some board lore I don't know about I guess.
Last time I was here I was being accused of being some fat black guy whose name I cant remember, but I guess he was some kind of shill. Kojama or something. Never found out who that guy was either.

Hogroller has a webp-->png/jpg extension and he is naming the files himself (cool tony, e drones, ospreay ospreay, etc). The ones that don't make it into his permanent folder he gives temporary names, uses them once, and then overwrites
We are familiar with his methods and it's only a matter of time until.....you know.

>>15733590 >>15733751 Right now the main thing hurting them (besides the fact that they're owned by a mark) is the fact that WWE is red hot. Anything AEW does is gonna look shit by comparison. It's similar to how WWE being shit helped AEW in 2019. But I think once WWE gets on Netflix the whole industry is going to boom. There's a reason why WWE is working with TNA now. It's more beneficial to the industry for WWE to work with TNA. I could easily see all three promotions getting big streaming deals within the next two years.
Wrestling is more suited to streaming than any other sport. It really doesn't matter if you watch it live because you watch wrestling for the story not because you care about who wins or loses. Combine that with the fact that it runs 52 weeks a year and you have the ultimate content generating machine.

>>15735795 The weird thing is that WWE doesn't seem red hot. Cody's run has been a dud, they're still milking the Judgement Day, Uncle Howdy is getting stale, and Gunther had one of his worst matches in Berlin.
Yet people are still watching in droves.

>>15733590 Will never watch wwe seriously again until they:
Fire Michael Cole
Fire def rebel
Fire Kevin Dunn (done)
Make all the Samoans fuck off
Fire all the shitters like orton miz and sheamus who have been on tv for 15 years with the same gimmick
