Storyfags are legitimately retarded. The story doesn't matter, what truly matters is the stakes. The storyline for Austin / Rock is just that Austin wants the title and Rock has it, there was some extra shit with Debra in there but mostly it was two guys feuding over a belt. It worked because everyone knew Austin and Rock were the biggest stars in the company and they had a match in the main event at Mania for the world title. I think this is one of the biggest reasons why AEW has been struggling, they can never build stakes because they present so much of the roster on an even playing field, having everybody go 15 minutes with each other and sell for each other is so damn retarded, Batman doesn't sell for the street criminals in the first part of the movie, he squashes everyone until Joker shows up.
