The story between Toni Storm and Mariah May would send your head spinning there's so much to explain that happened well beyond anything to do with titles. Toni Storm lost the belt, descended into madness thinking she was some old hollywood actress. Mariah May comes pretending to be some big super fan of hers. Gains her trust and snakes her way into getting close to her. Starts wearing her old gear and dressing up as her to gain Storm's affection. The two become lesbian lovers with a strange mother/daughter overtone. People fall in love with it. Mariah's past tag partner comes in for a bit which only complicates it all. Toni enters Mariah into a tournament where the winner gets a title match at Wembley which Mariah wins and now that she has her moment lined up to take Toni's spotlight she immediately turns on her and bloodies her. If you haven't seen that it's maybe the one moment from AEW this year I would legitimately suggest anyone to check out
You're clearly not an AEW fan. And that's cool. No one's forcing you to be. But also if you don't watch then how can you sit there and judge the product and try and speak on any sort of authority with it especially speaking to people who do watch it and know what's happening on the shows?
