but the point and theory of House shows being the inferior product FOR TV because they are non-canon shows for the in house audience, the same way AEW shows are build, remains the same.
That's the thing, a WWE audience in Hickville USA might have seen a Dick Buttman vs Cunt Cuntyson championship match on local show but it means jack shit for the continuation of Dick Buttmans arc on TV if he isn't shown fighting Cunt Cuntyson on tv.
A lot AEW match ups, "dream matches" are like this but shown on national tv on a whim when it doesn't really mean anything, not even meant to mean anything: just tickle the bookers and talents balls for a week on the thought that they had the match and now move on to next one like a check list because having those boxes ticked is more important than making one of them really work
Why, when you can make a match up a program to get people to buy in to a PLE finale about and get people to buy into whatever ever service its on to see how that ultimate match works out, why would you just put up a throw away cold match that nobody will remember?
I'll tell you why: Out of pure incompetence and lack of understanding for what the audience wants. Not just the diehards and in-for-every-penny crowd but general wrestling fans that might actually buy your shit.
