The lack of stories is my actual issue with AEW. It's not console warring shit for me. As it now seems to be for most of AEWs critics.
I was so happy to see this because I actually do want AEW to rival WWE. I want to like AEW. This segment is exactly what I wanted from AEW. And I hope we get more stuff like it.
I hope this is the turn around point for AEW. But the reaction to this has opened my eyes that a lot of my fellow AEW critics are hypocrites who aren't being critical in good faith. They steal the arguments of honest AEW critics like me but in actuality they just hate AEW period and won't acknowledge when AEW actually does something cool like this.
AEW actually has a shot to get momentum back right now. WWE's main event scene is very dry and boring right now with two very dull champions in Gunther and Cody.
If Tony can get a couple more stories going to compliment what Swerve and Page are doing there is definitely room for AEW to make a comeback.
