What exactly do they "deserve"? Does Priest deserve six/seven figures? Does Rollins? No, not really, because neither are draws.
I don't really care what money wrestlers make, but don't be surprised when real companies pay you in accordance with your valuation to them, and that's not going to be as much as you think it is a lot of the time, because 80+% of the roster at any given point in history is completely replaceable and held up by 4/5 real draws.

At this point, the wrestlers who get paid the most by WWE/AEW are the ones each company does not want to see jumping ship to the other program. It would hurt WWE to have 2/3 of the Shield on AEW TV, so they overpay Seth to prevent that from happening. If Priest were to switch sides and play for the other team, would anyone care? Not really, so he makes less.

The funniest thing about Gayback is that WWE tried to give him a path to come back. They wanted him to do the Drew McIntyre thing of reinventing himself on the indies. They tried setting him up with EVOLVE but he was too dumb to follow simple instructions.
