>>15798998>There needs to be something to fight for and that doesn't exist in aew.Not really. At least it doesn't need to be particularly deep, not at the lower and midcard level.
I mean, it's fine to want heavier stories in your wrestling. Not everyone needs that. I watch wrestling just to see guys do stupid and fun things, just like I did in the 90s.
And let's not pretend there's no story here. Cassidy fucked up Jericho's suit five years ago. He's been in a "teaching mood" as of late so he wants to pay Cassidy back. You might not like it, you might feel it's a matchup that doesn't need to happen, it might not be your kind of storytelling, but it *is* a story.
I used to be on the AEW bashing train until about a month ago. Then I realized I was seriously nitpicking. Wrestling is good if it entertains you. It's not good if it doesn't entertain you. If you nitpick, you're not going to like it because wrestling is never going to be perfect.
Sounds like AEW doesn't entertain you. That's cool. But there's no need to shit on it for those of us who do enjoy it. I watch WWE as well - I don't care for the fact that it's more talk and angles than matches but overall it's fun as well.
