>>15803676>>it's not that it's booked badly and that it's doing everything wrong>>corny is spiteful and old and he only says those things because he is spiteful and old>>now lemme tell you why your only go-to is to try to make the other person look badSee, I guess where we disagree is in the first part.
AEW is doing shit that wrestling companies have always done. It's doing shit that even Cornette himself does when he has the book. As evidenced by the link.
https://streamable.com/jtre9Your complaints about "everything AEW is doing wrong"? They hold true for *all* of wrestling. Even WWE did tons of cringy bullshit back during the AE.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rYXdI9ZN2ghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjycTxxWv8QFor every great match, there were 7 or 8 shitty ones.
If you had a Cornette hyperfocusing on the terrible shit that happened during the Attitude Era, I promise you that you'd absolutely see the flaws in the parts most people consider good. This is easily proven: tons of people who didn't watch wrestling saw the "good stuff" back in the day and thought it was absolute shit.
Wrestling is only good if you're willing to suspend disbelief in order to enjoy what's good about the good parts. And AEW has plenty that's good if you suspend disbelief just like you would for the companies you like.
Pro-wrestling is subjective. I'm not saying you have to like what AEW does. But there are people who do, and it's silly to pontificate on it like Cornette and his followers do as though there's some objective standard as to what a pro-wrestling company *ought* to be.
Because it's always crap. We watch because once in a while lightning strikes and there's good shit to be found. But holding a magnifying glass up to any company never made it look good and Cornette has to know this better than anyone.
The "great critiques" Cornette throws out there regarding AEW are absolutely no different than the shit people who hate wrestling point out about the whole thing.
