This can go one of two ways

Either way the perception of it's not going to be good for NXT. I'd rather them let the show stand on its own and let the people who are actually going to be the backbone of the show do their thing instead of being marked with a success they didn't earn or a failure that wasn't their fault

we already know its neither of these though. its all big title matches with a few main roster guys

It's still a poor way to represent NXT and all it does is say they don't have faith in its roster on its own to do a good number. It's the same effect as bringing in a bunch of part timers for Mania. It does nothing to elevate the actual people there week to week and only takes a big moment away from them where they could have grown

They want the special show to do a special number. Thats all. The whole "rely on their roster" is a nonsensical point. Its all thier roster and the NXT people will be on it.

If he goes on there just to talk about himself and pander for 20 minutes then I don't know if I can agree with that. LIke I said the Miztv idea is a great because it utilizes a main roster guy to put over NXT names. It depends on who's there and what they're there to do

Except NXT is just nonstop. They cram as many matches, promos and backstage segments in at once to make sure everyone gets their reps in
Only the PPVs put on extended matches. NXT mostly does quick 1 segment matches with no breaks, occasionally 1.5 with a post match angle

Nah it's the opposite. He's setting perceived expectations high so if they are met then he was right, and if they aren't met then his subscribers can all celebrate another WWE failure that he conjured up and WWE doesn't care about.
It was the exact same when he said Fox was expecting 5 Milliom for the debut and then a steady decline into a consistent 3 million afterwards

Debuts/Pilots are always special events. And not just wrestling. All TV shows are like this.
Why do you think the first game of the season for NFL, NHL, NBA and the like always feature last seasons champions? Why do TV shows have pilot episodes that are usually much longer than the he rest of the episodes?

If AEW moves to FOX I expect to see big guest stars from other promotions and championship matches.

But are they still expecting a milly? Probably not. Wanting something and the expecting somethings is different.

The implication that one tard is making is that WWE are the expecting a milly but he hadn't provided proof of that. He's claiming that so much that if they get a good number but not quite a million he can mark it a failure. But he's the only one claiming that they are expecting a million. Truth is he's nervous they are going to do good so to make it seem like 800k or around that for a glorified rookie training program like NXT is bad. That fact that he had to set the bar at a mil to even try to preset the narrative tells you he's scared that NXT is about to consistently out draw AEW now that it's on free TV

You mean the teams that are going to be playing the rest of the season as well? Yeah that's exactly my point. They're not bring back Shaq, and Michael Jordan, or Kobe's corpse just to pop a number. They're using the popularity of the current teams
I'm not saying it shouldn't be a special show or that it should just be an ordinary week. But let the people who are going to be featured on there week to week be the ones who get to make it special and get those moments instead of making their moments about people like CM Punk or whoever else they might throw on just to shoehorn them in there
