>Fox wasn’t happy with the price they paid for WWE versus what they got out of it. They wanted more viewers or, at the very least, viewers who spent more money. >Fox still wants weekly, first-run content >Fox reached out to Tony Khan in mid-August to discuss a potential TV show on network TV >WBD and Fox are already working together on Venu, a combined sports platform along with Disney (and therefore ESPN and ABC). >WBD and Fox both want AEW content to sell their live channels, plus they need content for Venu and Max. >As it stands right now; AEW is going to have a show on TBS, TNT, and Fox. They will also stream live on Venu. Archived PPVs, Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision will be on MAX. >Shockwave will air on Fox, date TBD, in a 2 hour block weekly. It’ll also simultaneously stream on Venu and archived episodes will be available next day on Venu. >All of this has made AEW “insanely profitable”, they’re making at least $350 million a year and they’ve opened up avenues with ESPN, Disney, ABC, and Fox all in a month. This is absolutely unheard of for pro wrestling.

Best case scenario: an absolute wastel squandered minutes of his time cleverly using AI to generate this image and "article." Worstt case scenario: an absolute wastel squandered hours of his time putting together this image and "article."

>>15803625 It’s going to be a rough couple of months for AEW fans. I can’t say more, but there was a deal. It’s not great. Tony salvaged Dynamite but RoH, Rampage, and Collision are done, and Shockwave is just a clip show of the previous Dynamite.
Prepare for the term “reboot” to be used by Tony a lot.

Realistically it's going to be this>Shockwave on Monday on FS1 Combination of recap of previous wrrk and new matches/angles preformed. Bridges previous week's content to the new week. FOX trying to bank on Netflix being treated as non live content with WWE>Dynamite on Wednesday on TBS 3 hour, still the A show, extra hour accounts for Rampage being dropped>Collision on TNT on Saturday 2 hours, still a bit meh

>>15807028 I would've agreed if WWE wasn't sending out hit pieces as soon as the Fox rumors came out. I'll be surprised if it happens but the immediately counter effort on their part makes me think it's not impossible. Wasn't the whole thing that Fox was still interested in having wrestling but just didn't see Smackdown worth the cost of what WWE was asking for? So if they can get something cheaper with AEW then that gives them exactly what they want

If that wasn't the case then there never would've been an exclusive negotiating window to start with. More to the point, if WBD has even a part ownership of AEW then why the hell has every piggie and dronie been oinkin about how they're not going to renew them?
Anonymous
>>15807057 The usual wrestling journalists, Meltzer Thurston, etc.

>>15807051 >>15807104 I don't know one way or another on this part of things so I'm not going to sit around arguing about whether or not it's true. Because that'd just be dumb. Especially on my part. But I will say though that if it is, it's fair to assume that with AEW's current network deal with WBD coming to a close that any partnership, investment, stakes, or whatever would be ending as well. They could renew that of course as it more than obviously seems has been the case. But it doesn't mean AEW had to lock in to any sort of exclusivity this time around. Maybe they did. I don't know. But there's also the chance they haven't, and if they're renewing Dynamite, Collision, and Rampage with WBD that doesn't mean anything as far as them creating a new ip like Shockwave
