>>15824518It didn't make them a profit, that's why they don't do it more. 1000 sold tickets at best is 100k at best if average price is 100 dollars. It costs way more than 100k to produce 2hours of a program, let alone 3 or however much they filmed, and both the ticket distributors and venue take a cut of the gate making the actual income way less. AEW also pays transport for full-time roster and accomodations, so that takes out 10-20k more (dunno how many people they have on a show). At most they have about 50-60k and have to make up the rest out of pocket for production and other expenses. Merch is a factor but they can't be selling much, especially with repeat customers in one location. Marketing costs also come into play but who knows if they really spent much on these.
