It's been easy to keep him getting cheered when they've given him a nothing reign with defenses against even more nothing challengers. Of course they're going to cheer Cody over AJ and Logan Paul and Solo. But put him in there with someone who's actually more over than him like Roman and they're not going to side with Cody Rhodes

Punk for sure right now. Possibly Seth. Sounds odd but they've even been cheering over Punk anytime they've been face to face. Randy's possible but I doubt it. Rey's sadly been booked to mean nothing in 2024 so nah. Brock maybe because of the pop for his return. Cena definitely. I see what you're saying, but nothing is set yet, it all depends on booking. If they go full retard then either Cody could get turned on, or they could even turn on Roman again if his face run disappoints. I'm pretty sure they know the risk here and wont let the fans pick sides when they have two hot babyfaces. If it was Vince he would definitely have them face each other and have either one of them or both of them lose all their momentum

But I didn't underestimate Cody's abilities or anything.
I overestimated the WWE audience because I myself haven't watched since 2001 but since Triple H's takeover, I've watched a few episodes and now know how stupid the audience is. Your show is aimed at small children so any adults into it must genuinely be retarded.

I get you. The could definitely book it in a way to keep Cody sympathetic. That said considering he was never even part of the plan over this past year and his entire title reign has just been biding time until Roman gets back then I think it's not too hard to assume the way it's going to go with them getting the belt back on Roman to do what they wanted to do with the Rock last year this upcoming year. The most merciful thing they could do for Cody, as fucked up as it'd be, is have him get screwed over by the Samoan clown car and lose the belt to Solo and then have Roman take it from him. Because if they do put Cody in the there straight up one on one with Roman and Roman gets his win back all while people cheer and go crazy then that's going to be very damaging for the guy
