Falcons had no timeouts left, so if the eagles got one more first down (move the ball 10 yards from the previous first down within 4 tries or the ball gets turned over), the eagles would be able to run the clock out and win. This guy had a wide open easy pass to catch and just dropped it, which stopped the clock and led to the eagles taking a field goal, making their lead 6 points. The opposing team (falcons) then went right through the eagles defense to score a touchdown, which gave them a one point lead. Eagles still couldve won with another field goal, but their qb got intercepted which ended the game.
Basically it was a perfect storm of fuckups: the coach's playcall (running instead of the pass in op wouldve made more sense since that wouldnt stop the clock), the drop, the choice to take the field goal instead of trying on fourth down, the defense doing nothing, and the interception
Just one of those goes differently and they win the game
