He's still trying to put this 'le seniority' type shit in WWE, he's just more subtle about it because he knows that one wrong step and he's done. There's nowhere else he can go. His ego will never allow him to take NJPW/TNA money.
But Phil is still unpredictable. Who knows when he'll get too cocky again and what will set him off. If we're being completely honest, his behavior towards Shawn is already very undermining and I don't know how okay Shawn is with that. It wasn't few months ago where he basically said he wants his (Shawn's) job and he's constantly hovering over him every week which isn't ideal for Shawn even if he's okay with it because at the end of the day Shawn should be the boss, not have some dual responsibilities with Punk.
