Even now whether they're profitable or not is dubious when you look at their expenses. Each episode of dynamite and collision costs well over a million to produce when you factor in shit like the cost of moving and setting up equipment, hotel and travel costs for employees and venue booking fees. And AEW does not sell enough tickets for their weekly show to recoup these costs.
Then you factor in their bloated talent contracts where even guys like swerve who have never drawn a dime are getting seven figure contracts, wbd taking over their ppv business which is a huge hit because it was their only real successful metric bringing in millions of dollars per ppv (allegedly because no one but meltzer has ever said anything about ppv buyrates)
I think a lot of people in AEW are going to lose their jobs in the coming months as belts tighten
