At least Tony tried with Rampage for a little bit at first, did anything of importance ever happen on one of those shows? All I remember is that top belts were never defended there, and it was mostly midcard and ROH belts being defended against jobbers in throwaway matches. I don't know if a title ever changed hands on these shows.

One hour shows are a hard sell as live events. But some Rampage stand alones did well. A show with just Bucks v Lucha Brothers in California drew about 7,000. There was literally nothing else of note on the card.

One thing I’ll always remember about this is that Chuck Taylor busted his body down for Tony during the early struggles of the company and the pandemic, so much so that he was forced to end his in ring career entirely. Instead of making his sendoff a big deal at all, he put his last match in a death spot on his Sunday Night Heat/Velocity tier slop show

The first few episodes of Rampage were legitimately great and felt fresh. I have no idea why they gave up so quickly and turned it into a jobber show. It's the show they should hotshot their "bangers" on. Especially since it's taped at the end of Dynamite, send the fucking crowds home happy instead of making them sit through Komander getting squashed in 2 minutes for the 80th week in a row

I liked the Ruby Soho/Angelo Parker romance storyline. Kinda got messed up by the pregnancy, but had a chance of elevating Angelo beyond "the one beside Daddy Magic."

Kinda sucks they never came back to Angelo abandoning Anna Jay and Daddy Magic, basically not talking to them for a while.
