AEW viewership has fallen more than what was expected with cord cutting, but WBD is still desperate for live sports and the key demo numbers are still up. Live sports is basically the only reason young people still watch TV, so AEW has inherit value, despite the quality of the show and attendance dropping in the past few years.

They also said they want to focus more on their Television revenue and reduce focus on streaming...which is the opposite of the way the world is moving. Honestly would not surprise me if they get bought by Disney in the next few years.
