Yeah, and I'm not defending AEW either. Flippy shit and soft-looking blows ain't it either.
But we've had a whole generation grow up with this gay WWE shit and it's dragged down wrestling as a whole. People think this lame storytelling crap is what it's supposed to be, and it's not.
Stories and stakes are good but they were never supposed to overshadow the fucking matches themselves, and the matches are supposed to be brutal.

I admit "try" was doing a lot of heavy lifting there but the point was that it's a lot closer to being a "wrestling" show than people standing around a ring talking for 2/3rds of the time.
