Yeah last night was handled horribly. I'm not sure what happened. It's like everyone knew they were going to two hours except Triple H who found out 10 minutes before they went on air. Just horribly paced and planned out

iyo and kairi are advertised for next week, julius creed was on main event vs. dragon lee, alpha academy has mostly been off TV the last 2-3 months, but yeah this RAW was worse than like 75% of RAWs this year, will be interesting to see how it's booked for the rest of the year

I noticed this especially in the main event. I get there are going to be ad breaks during matches but it became legit annoying just how many times they kept cutting to commercial during that one

also next week there's a match for the women's tag title, and probably they will book more women stuff on the card

what the fuck even happened to that angle, we were supposed to get some mania level or at least PPV main event level climax when otis turned on heel gable

instead they just shoved it in some random tv episode near the end and never mentioned the angle again

No they didn't. They chose to. They could've done that at any time they wanted but chose that exact time to book that with the people they chose to book it with. There's not a part of it that wasn't a conscious decision made and one where they decided fuck this other story we've been running for months, we're doing this now instead

Yes RAW is better as 3 hours. More pacing, more promos, more wrestling, etc.

But No on wanting to see the same people every single week. KO and Randy on every single SmackDown gets old. Bloodline every single SmackDown gets old. Wrestlers need to be on like every other week to allow other stories play out and give some breathing room to wrestlers so they look “fresh” every other week instead of every single week.

It was their first 2 hour show. They have to get used to running a 2 hour show again so there were some hiccups. The next few weeks should be a little bit better as they trim the fat, get used to the timing and hopefully don't overbook the show like they did this week.

I'm definitely missing the extra hour though. We would not have gotten some of the great matches we got without it.

This is not the fault of 2 hours it's the fault of poor direction. Raw was much more watchable at 2 hours and it can be again once they get back in a groove. And filtering out the shitters is a great thing.

It doesn’t make sense as a network decision either though, for the same reason the network made Raw go to three hours in the first place. That third hour is going to do considerably better than anything else USA puts in that slot. The only thing I can think of is that there’s some weird behind the scenes quirk with the bridge deal moving SD to USA for the rest of the year. They’re going to want SD at three hours for those same reasons, and since Raw is shuffling off to Netflix in a few months they may be more concerned with building out that SD third hour and how that would look for selling ads.
