AEW spent all of Fall 2023 playing these videos to hype Danhausen returning around Halloween. Then once it was confirmed Punk had signed with WWE in October, the video segments suddenly stopped and Danhausen's big Halloween return was cancelled.
He hasn't appeared in AEW since the Worlds End preshow battle royal in December 2023, and he did an ROH taping in February 2024. Ever since then, he's been paid to sit at home and do indies like GCW while AEW steals a percentage of his booking fee each time.
