They're paper thin and absolutely nothing without the effects and I would imagine they'd be a huge turn-off for anyone who isn't into horror or special effects especially. You'd get the same thing from the full movie as you would from a 15 minute supercut of all the kills, so make of that what you will. The second movie is 45 minutes longer with no more content in it. I'd say watch the short, if you like it at all, check out the first movie.
