Why is WWE obsessed with this idea that Samoans have supernatural powers or something? They make all of them look strong, but if you actually watch martial arts, for the most part, Samoans are just out of shape and their fighting ability is not very good

Honestly, WWE should hire 5'7" Dagestanis and make them look strong

It's not real, bro.
As an ethnicity they have features to make them look like strong wrestling characters - and generally they have a lot of size and are athletic. Within wrestling the narrative surrounding the Samoan family is also cemented so anyone in that family has an immediate character and threat level so they are all viable.

you see, WWE and UFC have different 'models of approach' for their particular samoans.

UFC: samoans are jobbers who don't do steroids. brazilians are actually to UFC what samoans have been to WWE.

WWE: samoans are top-of-the-carders who don't mind steroid use. samoans are to WWE what viltrumites/kryptonians are to comic books: the blood literally makes them better.

Because wrestling imitates football and it worships football players more than anything else. For some reason it is a football adjacent sport. If Samoans have a tough guy reputation in there then they have it in wrestling. If you played football then you get a push in wrestling.

Its simple really.

A white wrestler is white.
A black wrestler is black.
Latin wrestler is latino.
And a asian wrestler is asian. ect.

But the Samoian can be claimed by black, latino, Saudi, and most of all Indian Fans. You can put the coconuts anywhere in the world and as long as the fans are not white or japanese the fan can point at them and say thats me.

Samoans are anything but Samoan in WWEs eyes. This is corporate facts.

i disagree. i think what makes them so marketable is theyre not relatable at all to anybody. theyre exotic savages, coming from an unknown island in the middle of nowhere. most people have never met a samoan in real life, which gives them a mysterious aura. plus they have a distinct look, with the tattoos and whatnot
