>>16052627There was no particular reason other than Attitude Era wrestling was a passing fad. It struck a chord with the general public for a short time but they had their fill and moved on. Only marks can keep watching the same feuds and storylines repackaged in slightly different ways forever.
There's a million examples of fads that are red hot and then the masses lose interest and that's that. You can say the same for thing for the 80s boom and Hulkamania.
