>>16067254>kayfabe breaking 4th wall bullshitYou must despise modern wrestling then, because it's full of kayfabe breaking. And at least in WCW the wrestlers would still work matches in a believable way, unlike today.
>insane overpriced contractsSo what? My point was that Nitro was revolutionary and changed how weekly wrestling was portrayed on television. Bischoff also managed to grow the audience significantly and even put Vince and the WWF on the backfoot for a year and a half.
BTW, WCW was killed by Turner broadcasting. They could have easily kept it going. The reason they pulled the TV deal was because the execs hated that their networks were associated with pro wrestling. They didn't care about ratings. And the money wasn't really a factor either. They wanted pro wrestling off of Turner networks. Don't think this can't happen again. Network execs are often petty, stupid, and self-serving.
>all the biker shit where everyone wore the same clothesHuge over exaggeration on your part. There were tons of colorful costumes under Bischoff.
>finessed turner out of tens of millionsAgain, so what? Do you hate wrestlers getting paid well? And as previously stated, WCW went out of business because Turner execs at the time wanted wrestling off their networks. It wasn't about profitability or spending.
And Bischoff hadn't been in charge for over a year by that point anyway.
