When they finally get in the ring, Misawa carries the match for his team and leads Miz to victory. This surprises Miz, and their combined success pleases him. They win the belts as a face team. When they finally lose them, Miz snaps and bloodies Misawa. Their blowoff match has a stipulation where Miz can’t be DQd, but Misawa can. Miz throws every weapon he can at Misawa, but Misawa’s fighting spirit prevails and he beats Miz after three roaring elbows and a Tiger Driver.
