All of his aura came from being a NJPW product. He belonged there. Or in WWE. Okada going to AEW is like Shohei Ohtani going to Triple A. But he and Tanahashi before him were turning NJPW into a juggernaut and effectively got kneecapped by Tony.

Okada was never gonna work in AEW. Since he's left NJPW it's obvious that he's a Hogan guy who refuses to lose to guys and theres no way Tony can/could deal with that. He's only lost to Swerve (who was world champ) in a singles since joining AEW and is clearly phoning it in during multiman matches.
