Despite running a successful event at Korakuen Hall which attracted 300 people, Ice Ribbon now appears to be on the brink of disbandment due to payment issues involving the new management.
Earlier this year, the wrestler contracts were transferred from Neoplus to a new management company.
In a series of tweets, Mio Shirai raised concerns that Ice Ribbon wrestlers were not being properly rewarded and that she hoped the situation would be resolved soon.

Neoplus addressed the issue on their official twitter account;
>There have been no delays or unpaid wages in the women's pro wrestling promotion 'Ice Ribbon' or its management company Neoplus in its over 25 years of operation. (This doesn't refer to a case where I have been unreachable.)
>The current situation is that the representative of a company that manages contracts for some of the wrestlers has been hospitalized, causing a delay in operations, and last month's payments have not yet been processed.
>In response to this, Neoplus has been covering some of the salaries in advance.
>There is no financial relationship between the management company and Neoplus.
>We have been informed that the representative of the management company, Mr. Goshima, underwent open-heart surgery for a heart condition two weeks ago and is currently in the ICU (and this information has also been communicated to the wrestlers).
