Just adding one small extra step of inconvenience for ban evasion will be a working deterrent.
I guarantee you it would cut shitposting ban evasion by about 50% on this board at least.
Truth is most people can't be bothered aside from the most severely autistic
But this will also make it easier to pick out the worst offenders/ban evaders from the masses, making it easier for them to be handled in turn.
It's a win/win
