He might not have the connections he used to have so the guests that he would get might not be the most entertaining.
Wrestlers aren't as crazy as they used to be. Im sure there is still some stuff going on, but nothing on the level of the 90s and early 2000s. He was able to tap into some solid degenerate stories which made most of it entertaining, not all of it but he was able to let them feel comfortable.
Besides all that, I think the biggest problem is that podcasting killed his audience. I can go and hear a dozen wrestlers out of character talk about things at any given moment. He was able to do these at a time where that wasn't really possible.
