Punk's one of the best talkers, but his story has way too many similarities to Cody that he would look like a hypocrite trying to take shots at him, and Cody easily wins the argument by the fact he never left wrestling, started AEW, did all the things Punk said he might do during the Pipebomb while Punk didn't, was a champion amateur wrestler while Punk tried other forms of fighting and it didn't work out, took the high road many times when he didn't have to, etc. Would be a gigakino feud, but Cody comes out on top if it comes down to talk.
As seen by the Rock feud, Cody and Seth knew what to do (HHH probably told Seth) in that they don't bite in his bait and don't engage in trading one-liners so Knight can't really get Cody as he takes the highroad. The whole 'zinger' schtick only works when the opponent plays along by walking into it or taking bait.
