One of their new money guys said recently that some of those shows were "dilutive to the profit" or something like that. Basically he was saying that they lost money on some of the house shows.

The extra demand because they're not constantly performing is why you see the house shows doing over 10k tickets these days

Close. By dilutive he meant they don't make as much profit from house shows - but they do make profit.

It's like a restaurant making 20 cents off tea, 50 cents off coffee and only 5 cents off lemonade. Lemonade is still profitable but it makes more sense to focus on tea/coffee.

In order to go to a wrestling show of any kind now I have to travel 4 hours to get there and 4 hours back. And the show's going to be at night so I have to get a hotel room on top of the tickets, when before I could get a house show where I live once every year or two and sit 1st or 2nd row for a fraction of the cost

Yup, i can go to st louis, or memphis or i guess chicago but im not spending 8 hours driving unless im moving or going on vacation. I wonder what the guys will do with all this new free time theyve got if they arent doing house shows.
