>>16155000This is unironically true. They were attempting to be a parody of a wrestling team in order to annoy people but Dave Meltzer is an autist who doesn't understand subtle satire so thought they were the greatest comedic geniuses of all time.
They overused the super kick specifically in reference to it being protected in order to have smarks get annoyed at them for rightly disrespecting HBK but Meltzer didn't get it, thought it was funny and then pushed them as the GOAT tag team and they just ran with it. But yeah, originally they were trying to be heels.
