Nakajima hurt people intentionally and got a big head about it. Then worked with Simon Inoki to try and do an unsuccessful coup of All Japan. So he's essentially soft blackballed. Working, like everyone else who's got no where to go because (insert issue here), Gleat.

I don't blame Nakajima for leaving NOAH since I get the feeling he was frustrated about NOAH wanting to disband Kongo but everything after has been a mess. He does good work in the ring but it doesn't mean much when it's reaching a point to where no one wants to hire him.

He shot on two guys who weren't expecting it, one being one of DDT's top guys, disrespecting the company and embarrassing himself in the process.

After this incident, NOAH basically stopped booking him strong and he started appearing less and less, eventually quietly leaving the company.
Then he shows up at AJPW and claims to be Inoki's true successor, even does the Inoki sign-off. But then Inoki's estate comes out and publicly releases a Cease and Desist order which is just... like the purest form of humiliation, but it's like why the fuck would he try and do the Inoki thing without their consent in the first place?

After that, he's basically been blackballed by all of Japanese wrestling and only occasionally appears in GLEAT which is a Japanese indie filled with cast-offs (but is actually pretty based).
Still, it's sad. All of Nakajima's recent career troubles are his own fault. You can't blame Riki Choshu for tanking World Japan forever.

The Inoki stuff baffles me because people were noticing what Nakajima was doing in Kongo and enjoying it. The AXIZ return was cool even if it didn't lead to anything. All he had to do is keep his cool and play nice for awhile or at worst let Endo get a win over him to appease DDT.
