>>16194140It got pretty bad once Flair left. Sting wasn't ready. Luger was a decent choice (much better than given credit for prior to the motorcycle accident) but he left for bodybuilding. Vader was great but they kept trying to get the belt back on Sting. Then Sting got injured and they had Vader drop it to Ron fuckin' Simmons at a house show. What the fuck? Simmons had no business beating Vader then either, especially not at a nothing event. There was still some good stuff mixed in there though, like the Hollywood Blondes and Dangerous Alliance, and of course Ricky Steamboat. Flair's return and feud with Vader was great though. And the Flair/Hogan match was good too. Halfway through 1995 we got Nitro and it was great from the start IMO. Breath of fresh air in the wrestling industry at the time. Even the campy Hogan and Dungeon of Doom stuff couldn't ruin it. WWF in 95 was dire.
